Global Bag Machine Offers High-Speed Bagmaking in a Compact Package
(APPLETON, WI. USA) –-- CMD has developed rotary bag making technology for the global marketplace.  The Model 1270GBM Global Bag Machine incorporates patented high-speed rotary sealing technology and Allen-BradleyTM controls and features a durable, robust design for years of reliable operation. 

Designed to fit in a standard ocean freight container for economical shipping, the Model 1270GBM features metric design and is CE and ISO certified.  The compact footprint saves on space and energy usage and provides a simplified web path for easy film thread-up and improved process control.  Bag and film converters can utilize the flexible Global Bag System for a wide range of bag sizes and lengths, in side or bottom sealed configurations with wealing widths up to 50 in (1270 mm) and seal repeats from 15 in (381 mm) minimum to 147 in (3734 mm) maximum.

The Global Bag System handles a broad range of film gauges and blends from 12 micron (HDPE) to 3 mil (LLDPE).  The system offers efficient production speeds up to 600 feet per minute (183 meters per minute) and is ideal for a variety of bag applications like:

  • Lawn and Leaf Bags
  • Large Furniture Covers

Ease of operation is designed into the CMD Global Bag Machine, which features Allen-BradleyTM ControlLogix PLC, Kinetics Servo System and a color, Panel View Touch Screen.  This controls package includes:

  • International Allen-BradleyTM support available
  • Self-diagnostic system check with readout of fault messages
  • Ethernet equipped for better line diagnostics.
  • Includes phone modem for remote, long distance programming and troubleshooting.
  • All motors are driven by the same platform for consistent control with less software
  • All processes are controlled by a single PLC
  • Menu savable setting for select touch screen values
