Aluf Plastics, Orangeburg, N.Y., provides customers with an astounding selection of bags, and does it very quickly.  Enhancing the blown-film process in their 500,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant is a continual process for Aluf, and the purchase of a Sysmetric fully-automated dosing, line control and Internal Bubble Control (IBC) system provided the quality control and flexibility to quickly respond to their customers’ changing requirements.

Since the company has modernized blown-film production by going from manual bubble control to the Sysmetric digital IBC system, Aluf has enjoyed improved accuracy in its blown-film production (the Sysmetric CD400 dosing system offers fast throughput and dosing accurate of +/-.10%). The new system also allows for quick set-up and product change-overs, for reduced staffing and production costs.

The Sysmetric equipment was installed in January, and is part of an overall modernization and expansion at the Aluf facility.  The expansion included the purchase of a new CMD 1270GDS Global Drawtape System and 0330 HSW Global High Speed Winder.

Thanks to a newly-installed, fully-automated dosing, line control and IBC system, Aluf Plastics in Orangeburg, NY now enjoys easy and accurate blown-film production and control.
