The CMD equipment’s high production speeds of 180+ meters per minute made it economical for Thrace to bring much of the drawtape bag converting in house, for enhanced process control and product quality. Product differentiation is another reason for the choice of CMD equipment. 

“Of course, the drawtape provides the consumer with the convenience of clean and easy trash removal, and the overlapped roll means there is no perforation to tug on in order to separate the bags,” said Thrace Director Mr. Costas Halioris.  “With the overlapped roll, Thrace offers customers the ease of single-bag dispensing – a new and unique product to Greece.”
