CMD President Ricardo Abud says the company, a maker of equipment that produced bags and pouches that also has an energy equipment division, has hired 39 new workers since the beginning of 2020, most of those being younger workers. 

CMD thrived throughout the pandemic, and is headed toward a record year. The manufacturer makes (the equipment that makes) around 90 percent of the drawtape trash bags sold in the U.S., and Abud says more people staying at home means they’re consuming more food, and thus more trash bags as well.
