grow from USD 160.8 billion in 2020 to USD 200.5 billion by 2025, at a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 4.5%.  In terms of both value and volume, pouches segment to lead the flexible plastic packaging market by 2025.”

Increasing demand for food, beverage and pharmaceutical products during the worldwide pandemic, and a vigorous focus on sustainable packaging solutions, including lighter weight, recyclable film and pouches, are contributing factors to this robust growth trend, which isn’t forecasted to slow down.

“The pouches segment is expected to lead the global flexible plastic packaging market by 2025. It is further projected to grow at the highest CAGR from 2020 to 2025,” the report says.  It also attributes a rise in e-commerce as a driver for the projected growth.
